Srinagar: An overnight fire incident in the Barbarshah neighbourhood of the Srinagar district of central Kashmir damaged three residential buildings, a F&ES Department official reported on Sunday.

The authorities said they received information about a fire breaking out in Barbarshah Chowk at around 3:30 am. “Men and machinery were soon after rushed towards the spot” , according to the official. “After strenuous efforts the fire was brought under control.”

According to the official, two residences sustained significant damage as a result of the occurrence due to traffic in the neighbourhood, while another property also sustained some damage.
