Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir’s Apni Party revealed its nominees for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Kashmir division.
During a press briefing in Srinagar, Mohammad Dilawar Mir, the party’s senior leader and Chairman of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee, announced the names of the candidates. Zaffar Iqbal Manhas is set to contest from Anantnag-Rajouri, while Mohammad Ashraf Mir will represent the party in the Srinagar segment.
Expressing optimism, Mir stated that despite being a newly established political entity in Jammu and Kashmir, the Apni Party’s candidates are poised to garner support and advocate for the region’s aspirations on the national stage.
This move marks a significant step for the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, as it becomes the first political faction to nominate a candidate for the Srinagar seat.
