Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media platform X to encourage citizens to participate in the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.

“As the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections begins, I urge all those in constituencies going to the polls today to vote in large numbers and strengthen the festival of democracy,” PM Modi said according to KNS correspondent.
The Prime Minister’s message comes as voting commences in several constituencies across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth and secure polling.
