His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted in Hindi to congratulate Indians on the occasion of Independence Day.
Indians all over the world celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15th of August 2023. Taking to the social media platform X, Sheikh Mohammed wrote, ”As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, I extend my congratulations to the leadership and the people of this great nation. On this joyous occasion, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to building a future of shared prosperity and growth, elevating our partnership to new heights, and exploring new horizons of political, economic, and cultural relations. Happy Independence Day, Swatantrata Diwas!”
The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE at first tweeted in Hindi and after that he tweeted in English.
In Dubai, vibrant cultural events were planned for the thousands of people that were gathered outside the Indian consulate as early as 6.30am. Along with officers of the Dubai Police and representatives of the Indian community, Ramkumar Thangaraj, acting consul general of India to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, hoisted the flag.
