Ganderbal: Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Central University Kashmir on Monday held a daylong workshop on ‘Legal Journalism & Judgment Report Writing’ at Tulmulla campus.
The workshop was organized to imbibe in students the knowledge about legal journalism and basic knowledge about judgment report writing.
The workshop started with an event introduction and felicitation by workshop convener Dr. Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, Assistant Professor Law and Legal Advisor, CUK. Head & Dean, School of Legal Studies, Prof (Dr) Farooq Ahmad Mir welcomed the attendees and gave his special remarks on the theme of the workshop.
Dean Academic Affairs, CUK, Prof (Dr) Shahid Rasool delivered the inaugural address on the eve.
The workshop started formally with the Training Session presided over by Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, Former Principal District & Sessions Judge; the following Session was presided over by Marouf Ahmad, Senior Consulting Editor, the penultimate session by D.A Rashid Senior Legal Correspondent and the final session by Ahsan-ul-Shafi, Associated with Bar & Bench.
The presenters of the training sessions thoroughly delved into the theme of the workshop and also actively engaged with the students to answer their queries.
The valedictory address and certificate distribution was presided over by Prof (Dr) Mohd Afzal Zargar, Registrar, Central University of Kashmir.
A Vote of Thanks was delivered towards the end by Bilal Ahmad Ganai, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, Central University of Kashmir.
