SRINAGAR: Gas cylinder explosion in the Lal Bazar neighbourhood of Srinagar on Sunday  killed a 75-year-old woman and badly injured three other family members, according to officials.

A cylinder explosion occurred after a fire broke out in a private house in the Lal Bazar region, an official informed the news agency KNO.

He added that during the incident, a 75-year-old woman named Khatija Begum passed away and three other family members were hurt.

He stated that the injured had been rushed to hospitals for treatment, and that the fire had been extinguished.
