Mumbai: Actress Geeta Basra was all smiles as she joined in the Lohri festivities today, 13 January 2025. The star of ‘The Train looked stunning in a blue salwar kameez, paired with hoop earrings, minimal makeup, and her hair left open, as she performed the traditional pooja.
For those unfamiliar, Geeta Basra is married to former cricketer Harbhajan Singh. The couple are proud parents to a daughter, Hinaya Heer, born in 2016, and a son, Jovan Veer Singh, born in 2021.
Recently, celebrated filmmaker Farah Khan paid a visit to Geeta and Harbhajan at their home, where the trio enjoyed a lively coffee session. During their candid conversation, the couple shared the story of how their relationship began.
The former off-spinner recounted the moment he first set eyes on his future wife, Geeta Basra. Harbhajan first noticed her on the poster of her 2007 crime thriller ‘The Train’, co-starring Emraan Hashmi, while travelling to board the Shatabdi Express. He was instantly captivated by her grace and resolved to learn more about her.

He later sought assistance from fellow cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who played matchmaker by introducing him to Geeta Basra. What began as a casual interest gradually blossomed into a profound relationship. After some time, the two tied the knot in October 2015.
Geeta Basra’s filmography includes titles such as ‘Dil Diya Hai, ‘Zila Ghaziabad’, ‘Mr Joe B. Carvalho’, ‘Second Hand Husband’, and ‘Lock’. The actress has taken a hiatus from the film industry since her marriage.
Previously, the couple appeared on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, accompanied by Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu.
