Watergam: The Baramulla Working Journalists Association (BWJA) is delighted to announce the formation of the Rafiabad Working Journalists Association (RWJA), which will operate under the esteemed leadership of Mr. Iqbal Amin Chief Editor Greater Now News.
Mr. Iqbal Amin has been unanimously elected as President by working journalists of Rafiabad and was nominated for the Presidential post of the newly established association by BWJA, in recognition of his dedication and commitment to the field of journalism.
The decision to form a Constituency level unit of BWJA, under the name of Rafiabad Working Journalist Association (RWJA), was unanimously approved during a virtual meeting of BWJA’s core group members chaired by the Chairman of BWJA, Haji Karamath Qayoom. This landmark decision reflects BWJA’s continued efforts to decentralize and strengthen its organisational framework, ensuring enhanced representation and collaboration at the grassroots level.
Following the approval, a separate meeting of working journalists of Rafiabad was conducted at Rafiabad, presided over by President BWJA, Gulzar Ahmad. During this meeting, the association officially endorsed the establishment of the Rafiabad Working Journalists Association (RWJA) and extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Iqbal Amin for his nomination and election. President Gulzar Ahmad also commended the local journalists for their active participation and commitment to strengthening journalistic endeavors in the region.
The Rafiabad Working Journalists Association (RWJA) will operate under the guidelines and bylaws set forth by BWJA, ensuring transparency, professionalism and ethical standards in all its operations and activities.
BWJA is confident that the newly formed association under Mr. Iqbal Amin’s leadership will significantly contribute to the advancement of journalism in Rafiabad and beyond.
