Jammu: Sakeena Itoo, Minister for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education in Jammu and Kashmir, recently chaired a meeting to assess the impact and progress of various social welfare schemes implemented across the region.
The meeting focused on evaluating the effectiveness of ongoing programmes and identifying areas for improvement. Minister Itoo emphasised the importance of these schemes in uplifting the socio-economic conditions of the beneficiaries and directed officials to ensure timely delivery and transparency in their execution.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to grassroots development, she stated that continuous monitoring and feedback mechanisms are essential for the success of welfare initiatives. She also called for increased community participation to enhance the reach and efficacy of these programmes.
