Los Angeles: Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson has made it clear that she’s no longer willing to tolerate toxic work environments. In a recent interview with one of the leading magazines, the Materialists star shared that she values a healthy and respectful atmosphere on set and has no interest in working with mean or disrespectful people.
“I just don’t waste my time with that anymore,” Johnson said, adding that in the past, she stayed silent during uncomfortable experiences but has since learned to speak up. “I used to be so worried about being perceived as difficult, but now I’d rather be honest and protect my peace.”
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress also reflected on how the industry has changed over the years. “There’s no room for toxic energy anymore,” she said, pointing out that both cast and crew deserve a safe and supportive space to work.
Johnson’s remarks come ahead of her upcoming film Materialists, directed by Celine Song, which also stars Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans. The film explores the lavish lives and relationships of people chasing love and status in New York.
Known for her candidness and calm demeanour, Dakota Johnson continues to set boundaries and advocate for healthier creative spaces in Hollywood.
