Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting rain and snowfall in the region from 25 to 27 March.
According to the advisory, 24 March is expected to remain generally cloudy with dry weather. However, from 25 March, scattered areas, particularly in North and Central Kashmir, may experience light rain or snowfall over higher reaches.
A spell of light to moderate rain and snowfall is anticipated at several locations, mainly in North and Central Kashmir, from the late afternoon of 26 March until the evening of 27 March.
Following this period, dry weather is expected to prevail from 28 to 31 March, as well as from 1 to 3 April.
Authorities have advised travellers, tourists, and transporters to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to administrative and traffic guidelines.
Farmers have also been urged to suspend agricultural activities on 26-27 March due to the likelihood of thunderstorms and gusty winds in some areas.
