Three key bills passed by J&K Assembly receive LG’s assent

Jammu: Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Manoj Kumar Pandit, on Monday informed the House that three bills recently passed by the Assembly have received the assent of the Lieutenant Governor.

While reading out the official communication, the Secretary stated that the bills were approved by the Lieutenant Governor on 25 March 2025. The bills include:

1. The Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025 (L.A. Bill No. 1 of 2025)
2. The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2025 (L.A. Bill No. 2 of 2025)
3. The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2025 (L.A. Bill No. 3 of 2025)

The development was formally announced during the Assembly session, marking a significant step in the ongoing legislative process of the Union Territory.
